Privacy Policy
Last updated 17 October 2026
BigByte Tech ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
When you use the contact form we collect the details you choose to give us:
- your name and email address
- your business name (optional)
- the message you write to us
If you phone or email us directly, we collect the details you share in that conversation. Like most websites, our hosting provider may also record technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested in standard server logs.
How we use it
- to reply to your enquiry and provide a quote or advice
- to deliver and support services you ask us for
- to keep basic business records
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.
Who handles your information
To run this website we use a small number of service providers:
- Supabase, which runs the function that receives the contact form, and Resend, which delivers the form submission to our inbox by email
- GitHub Pages, which hosts this website
These providers may process data on servers outside Australia. We only share the information needed for them to do their job.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not currently use advertising cookies or analytics trackers. If we add them in future, we will update this policy first.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails only as long as we need them to respond and to keep reasonable business records, then delete them.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or to correct or delete it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, contact us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
